For over 50 years Lance Russell has been the voice of professional wrestling. He’s worked longer in the wrestling business than anyone alive today and his experience, his insights and his unmatched longevity have earned him a permanent place in wrestling legend and lore.
During his over 50 years in professional wrestling Lance had the opportunity to observe things up close. In the latest installment of the INTERVIEWS WITH LANCE series, Lance compares how it was then with how it is now.
It sure would be nice to know if Lance knew what was about to happen to him in the latest clip added to our VIDEOS SECTION. Jimmy Hart had added to his stable of wrestlers someone he called "The Dream Machine". The Dream was brought for the express purpose of eliminating Jerry Lawler. Hart and The Dream Machine came out one Saturday for an interview. Lance had just finished playing a music video of The Dream Machine in action. The video was edited to the Hollywood Argyles song "Alley Oop" and, wouldn't you know it, The Dream Machine didn't find the humor in the video. Instead of Lawler, he almost ended up taking out Lance. |
